Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which RSE, a sole proprietorship established under the laws of India (“Company” / “We” / “Us” / “Our” / “SKIP”), collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the SKIP mobile application, website, and all services offered by the Company (“Platform”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Platform and all services offered by the Company.

You agree to and are bound by the terms and conditions set forth below and in any modified or additional terms that the Company may publish from time to time (collectively, the "Privacy Policy").

If the User does not agree to all of the terms and conditions contained in the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy, do not access or use this Platform.

This Privacy Policy is published in compliance with:

• The Information Technology Act, 2000
• The Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011
• The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023
• Any rules or regulations notified thereunder

The personal information collected, received, processed, stored, dealt, or handled by the Company includes:

From Users (Customers):

• Full name
• Phone number (WhatsApp)
• Email address (optional)
• Residential area/locality and pin code
• Type of residence (apartment, PG, independent house, office)
• Service usage preferences and frequency
• Location data (pickup and drop-off coordinates during active Service Requests)
• Payment information (processed through third-party payment gateways; We do not store card/bank details)

From Skippers (Delivery Partners):

• Full name (as on Aadhaar)
• Phone number (WhatsApp)
• Email address (optional)
• Date of birth and gender
• Profile photo
• Residential address, area/locality, and pin code
• Vehicle details (type, make, model, registration number)
• Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC) photo
• Vehicle Insurance document photo
• Driving License number and photos (front and back)
• Aadhaar number and photos (front and back)
• Bank account details (account number, IFSC code, bank name, UPI ID)
• Work preferences (availability, working hours, earning expectations)
• Emergency contact information
• Real-time GPS location data (during active duty hours)

The Company will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to the Company. Users can always refuse to supply personal information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Platform-related activities.

The Company may collect non-personal information about Users whenever they interact with the Platform. Non-personal information may include the browser name, the type of device and technical information about Users' means of connection to the Platform, such as the operating system, device model, internet service provider, screen resolution, and other similar information.

The Company uses the User's personal information for the following purposes:

• To identify the User once they register on the Platform
• To create User login accounts and administer User accounts
• To match Users with nearby Skippers for Service Requests
• To facilitate real-time tracking of deliveries and tasks
• To process payments and issue receipts
• To contact the User and respond to User questions or requests
• To send the User communications regarding the Services
• To provide access to features and content based on the User's preferences
• To provide better usability, troubleshooting, and Platform maintenance
• To understand which parts of the Platform are visited and how frequently
• To screen orders for potential risks or fraud
• To comply with legal obligations, including the Karnataka Platform-Based Gig Workers (Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2025
• To submit required data to the Karnataka Gig Workers Welfare Board (Skipper data only, as mandated by law)

The Company may share User information in the following circumstances:

1. With Skippers:When a User places a Service Request, the assigned Skipper will receive the User’s name, pickup/drop-off location, phone number, and task details necessary to complete the service. The Skipper will NOT receive the User’s email, residential address, or any other personal information beyond what is needed for the specific Service Request.
2. With Users:When a Skipper accepts a Service Request, the User will receive the Skipper’s name, profile photo, vehicle details, and real-time location for tracking purposes.
3. With Payment Processors: Payment information is shared with third-party payment gateway providers (e.g., Razorpay, PhonePe, Google Pay) solely for the purpose of processing transactions. The Company does not store full card numbers, CVVs, or bank account passwords.
4. With Government Authorities: The Company may share information with government authorities when required by law, including but not limited to the Karnataka Platform-Based Gig Workers Welfare Board (Skipper registration data), tax authorities (GST-related transaction data), and law enforcement agencies (in response to valid legal requests).
5. With Service Providers:The Company may use third-party service providers to help operate the Platform or administer activities on the Company’s behalf, such as sending notifications, hosting data, or analytics. These service providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.

The Company will NOT sell, rent, or trade User personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, every User ("Data Principal") has the following rights:

1. Right to Access: You have the right to request a summary of your personal data being processed by Us, along with the identities of all Data Fiduciaries and Data Processors with whom your data has been shared.
2. Right to Correction and Erasure: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate or misleading personal data, completion of incomplete personal data, updating of personal data, and erasure of personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
3. Right to Grievance Redressal: You have the right to register a grievance with Our designated Grievance Officer regarding the processing of your personal data.
4. Right to Nominate: You have the right to nominate any other individual who shall, in the event of your death or incapacity, exercise your rights as a Data Principal.

Response Timeline: We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and provide a substantive response within 30 days.

In accordance with the DPDP Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, the following person is designated as the Grievance Officer:

Response Time: The Grievance Officer shall acknowledge the grievance within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days from the date of receipt.

If the User is not satisfied with the resolution provided by the Grievance Officer, the User may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India as established under the DPDP Act, 2023.

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to cause harm to any Data Principal, the Company shall:

1. Notify the Data Protection Board of India within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.
2. Notify the affected Data Principals without unreasonable delay.
3. Provide details of the nature of the breach, the data affected, and the remedial measures being taken.

The Company retains User data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law.

After the retention period, data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

The Company does not knowingly collect or maintain information from persons under the age of 18 (eighteen) years. No part of the Platform is structured to attract anyone under the age of 18. If We become aware that personal data of a minor has been collected without verifiable parental consent, We will take steps to delete such data promptly.

The Company will never ask for sensitive information such as credit card details, bank account passwords, one-time passwords (OTP), or PINs via email, phone call, or any communication outside the Platform. If You receive any such communication claiming to be from SKIP, do not respond and report it to Us immediately at skip.it.hq.blr@gmail.com.

A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to the User's browser, which may then store it on the User's system. The Company uses cookies in some of its pages to store visitors' preferences and record session information. The information that the Company collects is then used to ensure a more personalised service level for the Users.

The Company uses Google Analytics 4, a third-party analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Platform — for example, how many people visit, which controls they use, and where they stop before completing the waitlist form. This is collected through cookies and similar browser storage. Advertising features and personalisation signals are disabled, so this data is not used to build advertising audiences.

The Company does not send the contents of any form field to its analytics provider. Where the Company records that a step was completed, only the name of that step is transmitted — never the name, phone number, email address, pin code, or any other value the User typed.

The Platform stores a cryptographic key pair in the User's browser to recognise that browser on a later visit, so that a User who has already joined the waitlist is shown their existing position instead of the sign-up form again. The private half of this key pair is generated in the User's browser, cannot be read or exported by the Company, and never leaves the User's device; only the corresponding public half is stored by the Company. This identifier is not linked to any advertising network, is not shared with third parties, and cannot identify the User across other browsers, devices, or websites.

The same browser storage records which analytics events have already been sent from that browser, so that a returning User is counted once rather than on every visit. Clearing the browser's site data removes both the key pair and this record, after which the browser is treated as new.

The User can adjust the settings on their browser to be notified when a cookie is received, or to disable cookies associated with the Platform.

The Company collects data from the User's device called log data ("Log Data") whenever You use the Platform. This Log Data may include information such as the User's device internet protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the app when utilising the Platform, the time and date of usage, and other statistics for the purposes of audit trails, troubleshooting, and other purposes.

The Company works to protect the User's information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized alteration by using reasonable industry-recognized security safeguards, coupled with carefully developed security procedures and practices. The Company maintains electronic and procedural safeguards of all information. The security practices and procedures contain managerial, technical, operational, and physical security control measures that are commensurate with the personal information being collected, received, processed, stored, dealt, or handled, and the nature of the business of the Company.

The Company makes no representation as to providing or storing back-up copies of any information submitted to the Company. The User shall be solely responsible to ensure that the User maintains back-up copies of such information.

Although the Company takes appropriate steps to maintain the security of information, the Company assumes no responsibility of whatsoever nature for losses and damages the User may incur due to privacy and/or security breach of User information. The Company shall not be liable for any loss or damage sustained by reason of disclosure (inadvertent or otherwise) of any information.

The Platform may contain links to other websites and third-party platforms ("Third-Party Platforms"). Such Third-Party Platforms may collect information about you. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those linked websites and Third-Party Platforms. The Company recommends the User review the privacy policies of such Third-Party Platforms.

The Company has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time. The Company encourages Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how the Company is helping to protect the personal information it collects. The User acknowledges and agrees that it is the responsibility of the User to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes to this Privacy Policy will constitute Your acceptance of such changes.

This Privacy Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India applicable to agreements made and to be performed in India. You agree that any legal action or proceeding between the User and the Company for any purpose concerning this Policy shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting skip.it.hq.blr@gmail.com. All deletion requests will be processed within 30 days. You will receive confirmation once your data has been deleted.

Please note:

• Certain data may be retained as required by law (e.g., tax records for 8 years).
• Anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.
• Deletion of your account data is irreversible.
